New Images of Before and After Dry Ice Cleaning in Denver!
This 2016 Volvo XC90 was pretty clean to begin with, but if you look closely, you see "factory new-looking" parts compared to the old.
Here's a close up compairison on the alternator. It had this black soot that would not come off, even with trying to scrape it. Dry Ice Blasting made a nice improvement, and no concern about damaging any electrical parts.
Look on the internet and you will find all sorts of posts on before and after photos of dry ice cleaning your car or industrial area. We have saved you the trouble of going any further by sharing with you some befe and afters. Some are ours, some we have borrowed from other dry ice cleaning experts. Just look at the differences.

When it comes to car detailing, ensuring a thorough and effective cleaning process is essential for maintaining your vehicle's appearance and performance. While traditional methods have merits, there's a cutting-edge solution that's rapidly gaining traction in the industry: dry ice cleaning. Unlike conventional techniques that rely on water or chemicals, dry ice cleaning utilizes solid carbon dioxide (CO2) pellets to blast away dirt, grease, and grime with remarkable precision. å
Let's explore the benefits of incorporating dry ice cleaning into your car maintenance routine, particularly for hard-to-reach areas like the engine, undercarriage, and wheel wells.
Precision Cleaning: Dry ice cleaning is incredibly effective at targeting even the most stubborn contaminants clinging to your car's surfaces. The high-velocity impact of the dry ice pellets causes rapid thermal expansion, creating mini-explosions that lift away dirt without damaging delicate components. This precision ensures thorough cleaning without the risk of abrasion or corrosion, making it ideal for sensitive areas like the engine bay.
Non-Abrasive and Environmentally Friendly: Unlike harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes, dry ice cleaning is entirely non-abrasive. It won't scratch paintwork or corrode metal surfaces, preserving the integrity of your vehicle's exterior. Furthermore, since dry ice sublimates upon contact, there's no secondary waste to dispose of, making it an environmentally friendly option for eco-conscious car owners.
Efficient Degreasing: Engine bays and undercarriages are notorious breeding grounds for grease and oil buildup, which can impede performance and accelerate wear over time. Dry ice cleaning effectively removes these contaminants without leaving behind any residue, restoring optimal functionality and extending the lifespan of critical components.
Thorough Decontamination: Wheel wells often harbor dirt, mud, and road salt, posing a threat to both aesthetics and structural integrity. Dry ice cleaning penetrates deep into these recesses, dislodging debris and neutralizing corrosive agents that can cause rust and deterioration. By eliminating hidden contaminants, you can safeguard your investment and maintain a pristine appearance for years to come.
Time and Cost Savings: Traditional cleaning methods often require disassembly or extensive manual labor to achieve satisfactory results. In contrast, dry ice cleaning is a rapid and efficient process that minimizes downtime and labor costs. Because it can clean intricate components without dismantling, you can enjoy significant time savings while maximizing the value of your detailing investment.

Ah, shucks, it's been a hot minute... we've been blasting! It's the end of September 2024, and things have been busy. I'm trying to keep up with the social media and posting / adding here. Had my blaster have a small issue at our last job, but the amazing customer service folks with Karcher / Surpass helped me out. Got it all sorted quickly. Cheers!
Dry ice cleaning and rust... 10/20/2024. We get a lot of calls about rust removal. I had the opportunity to do some rust removal testing over this weekend. I'm working on posting video / images, but I'm not sure I got ones. Long story short, our equipment can remove very light rust. The rust in this image to the left, looked just a little cleaner. However, dry ice cleaning does remove anything that is loose, and therefore could create a better surface for paint / undercoating.
